How do I clean my Stasher bags and bowls?
Dishwasher safe (top or bottom rack) or wash by hand with warm, soapy water.Additionally, regular dish soap works just fine. Unscented is best, as fragrance-based soap might leave a residue or lingering smell.
How do I remove odors or stains?
For odors:
- Soak in baking soda and warm water for a few hours. You can always try some vinegar as well to deodorize.
- If they need a full reset, bake them on an oven-safe tray at 350° for 10-15 minutes.
For stains:
- Set your reusable in sunlight for a few hours to naturally “bleach.”
Can I microwave, freeze, or bake with them?
Yes. Safe for the microwave, freezer, and oven (up to 425°F / 218°C). If microwaving, leave seal open a quarter of a inch for venting purposes.
And yes, even our bags with dots or printed designs are safe to use in the microwave.
A few tips:
- Always keep the seal partially open when cooking in the oven or microwave.
- Put your bags and bowls on a baking sheet when cooking in the oven.
- Use tongs or gloves when handling a hot Stasher reusable; even better, cool before handling.
Are Stasher products “clean?”
At Stasher, we define “clean” in a few different ways. From a materials perspective, our products are free of unwanted things like lead, latex, BPA, BPS, or other phthalates. Our products can be safely heated and store everything from baby food to makeup and toiletries, then cleaned for repeated use.
Most recycling facilities don’t accept silicone. Through our partnership with TerraCycle®, your bag can be responsibly recycled and avoid ending up in a landfill.
